The City of Cerritos Christmas Tree Lighting

The Cerritos City Council will light the city’s Christmas tree at 6 p.m. Event includes: craft activity for children, entertainment, caroling, performances by local music groups, and photo opportunities with Santa Claus.

Northridge Fashion Center open till midnight + Prize Patrol

The Northridge Mall Prize Patrol is surprising shoppers with gifts and mall gift cards all weekend long. Decorations and entertainment will be provided for shoppers to get them in the mood for the holiday season. The mall reopens from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Westside Thanksgiving

Volunteers serve up a traditional turkey dinner for homeless, students, seniors and low-income families. Participants can volunteer by donating food, money or time, helping to serve food or hand out clothing and blankets. Also offered: children’s immunizations, haircuts and medical consultations to those in need, a kid-friendly carnival with games and crafts.

Turkey Trot Los Angeles

Family-friendly event along downtown’s Spring Street includes: races, games and activities. Work off calories in either the 5k or 10k run/walk for adults and 1k walk for kids 10 and under. Join the costume contest or compete in the potato-sack race (Winners get a pumpkin spice cheesecake). A kid zone will have face painting and arts and crafts.

Burbank Community YMCA Turkey Trot

Give back to the community at this 5k run/walk and 1k for kids run. The event will also feature a costume contest. Fastest adults receive cash prizes and medals. Proceeds go to the organization’s membership assistance program, which offers free and affordable access to the YMCA’s services for those in need. Free kids fun zone.

Green Saturday features cruelty free jewelry, apparel, art, skincare, gifts, vegan beer, vegan treats and more. The event will also feature a vegan cobbler & pie contest. Win bragging rights, a ribbon, and an awesome vegan prize pack. A portion of proceeds from Green Saturday L.A. will be donated to the Whiskers & Tails Foundation, a local animal rescue that rescues and adopts animals in need.

Hollywood Christmas Parade

The annual parade will be hosted by Erik Estrada and Laura McKenzie and will feature floats, balloons, bands, equestrians and celebrities as they ride in a U-shaped route that begins at Hollywood and Orange and ends up at Sunset and Orange. Reserved grandstand seats can be purchased, with proceeds going to Toys for Tots, but free curbside seating is also available.

L.A. County Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Sip on a free cup of hot chocolate as L.A. County’s official Christmas tree lights up on the Music Center Plaza. Listen to festive favorites from chamber music ensemble Brass Pacifica and a choral performance by local high school students.
