According to a report from KRQE.com, senior Josh Jenkins’ injuries will keep him out of action from six to eight weeks, meaning he will not make it back before the season ends.

The report also said the unidentified driver of the vehicle is from Albuquerque, Jenkins’ hometown, and that there were two other passengers in the vehicle. They sustained minor injuries.

Jenkins had some internal bleeding as a result of the crash. His condition is stable and doctors believe he’ll make a full recovery.

He could be released from the hospital before week’s end, the report said.
