Nearly 400 people gathered at Oceanview Park in Santa Monica to rally for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. The event was led by Palestinian-American kids and teens in association with SAWA SoCal, CodePink, Latino-Muslim Unity and Jewish Voices for Peace among others. Attendees of many different backgrounds were educated on Palestinian culture and issues through poems, folk songs, traditional dances and flying kites and given a platform to grieve for the lives lost in the conflict.
