CSU Budget Info
A.S. President Conor Lansdale said he met with President Jolene Koester ad Dr. Watkins, vice president of student affairs and dean of students about the CSU’s agenda next week regarding tuition increase for the 2011-2012 year.
The Board of Trustees will be meeting on Nov. 9 and 10 in Long Beach to vote on a possible mid-year tuition increase, as well as, for future increases.
A.S. and the 2nd Annual CSUN Clothing and Food Drive Update
A.S. Vice President Neil Sanchez confirmed Tuesday some of the location donation assignments for Senate members.
- Academic Affairs assigned to the Matador Involvement Center (MIC)
- Internal Affairs assigned to Bayramian Hall
- Policies assigned to the USU front desk
- External Affairs assigned to the Fitness Center
- University Affairs assigned to the Oviatt Library
He said the locations with the most donations will be announced on Nov. 17 during the ceremony.
New Business
Associated Students unanimously voted to approve the following constitution:
- Catholic Newman Club, which offers a place for students to increase in their Catholic faith on campus
- Peer Health Exchange, which train college volunteers (all CSUN students) to speak about health education in public high schools where it is not offered.
- Star & Crescent Society name changed approved to Kappa Sigma , which is a social club, but focuses on leadership among other things.
