An evening to remember Anne Frank

Anne Frank’s stepsister will be visiting CSUN as a guest speaker in a historic event provided by the Rohr Chabad House on Wednesday.

Eva Schloss will share her first hand experience as a Holocaust survivor and her relationship with her stepsister.

Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook, co-director for the Rohr Chabad House, said the students are going to be able to ask Schloss questions in a question and answer session.

Brook said they are expecting at least 200 to 400 people to attend the event.

“The numbers are constantly going up,” Brook said.

Brook said Schloss will both speak and present some paintings that were created by her brother and father while they were hiding.

The event will “bring that message [of] coming out of a dark place and moving on,” Brook said.

“Every action that we take can make a really big difference,” Brook said.

The event was made possible through a co-sponsorship of the “officers of the provost and other student clubs on campus,” Brook said.

The event will be held at the Northridge Center in the University Student Union.

Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the event will start at 7:30 p.m.

Brook said tickets for the event will only be sold through the Rohr Chabad website and are not available in any of the CSUN box offices.
