Concerts, Craft Corner, Coffee Nights start spring semester at USU

Craft Corner, Noontime Concerts and LGBTQ Coffee Nights return for the semester starting tomorrow.

The first Noontime Concert of the semester will welcome Alternative group The Unending Thread to the Plaza del Sol of the USU. Students can listen to the band while they have lunch or relax in the shade. The concert begins at noon. The next concert will be on Feb. 6 and feature an appearance by Reggae group Isleside. Noontime Concerts occur every Thursday until the end of February.

Also taking place at the Plaza del Sol is Craft Corner.

Students can paint a bobblehead horse in between classes. Craft Corner runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The next Craft Corner will allow student to decorate a candle. Craft Corner occurs every Thursday through the end of the semester.

LGBTQ Coffee Nights invite students to socialize and connect. All are welcome to the Pride Center of the USU, located across from the SRC, for light snacks and conversation.

LGBTQ Coffee Nights take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Coffee Night occur every Thursday until the end of the semester.

Tonight at the Matador men’s basketball game, the first 100 students who attend will receive a T-shirt if they show their student ID as part of the CSUN’s Red Rally events. The game is against the UC Riverside Highlanders at 7 p.m. at the Matadome.

Students will also have a chance receive other giveaways such as foam fingers, rally towels and spirit cups.
