This Valentine’s day, spend the evening enjoying the Moscow Festival Ballet’s romantic classics “Chopiniana” and “Romeo and Juliet” at the Valley Performing Arts Center. With, music by Chopin and choreography by Mikhail Fokine, this ensemble brings together two of the most romantic classical works to Russian ballet in one enchanting evening.
Chopiniana transports audiences to a fantasy world where poetry and dance come together beautifully. As a prelude to the story of Romeo and Juliet, it elevates Shakespeare’s tragic tale of star-crossed lovers. Danced to Tchaikovsky’s imperial score, this preservation of traditional Russian ballet is one you won’t want to miss.
Tickets will be available for purchase up until the evening of opening night at the VPAC Ticket Office. Students with a CSUN ID may purchase double tickets at a 40% discount. Staff and faculty members with a valid CSUN ID may purchase single tickets at a 20% discount.
