With inspirational performances in significant games against California State University, Fullerton and University of California, Riverside, the Big West Conference selected CSUN sophomore guard Aaron Parks as Big West Player of the Week.
Parks averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 assists against the two conference rivals over the week, and helped CSUN clinch a berth in the Big West Conference Tournament.
The Matadors snapped their nine-game losing streak behind Parks’ 12 points, five assists, and two rebounds against CSUF, while the sophomore broke Big West’s free-throw record as he scored a career-high 29 points against UCR, approaching the charity stripe 23 times Saturday night and sinking 19 free throws.
