With graduation just days away CSUN bids farewell to one of the greatest classes in school history. CSUN basketball players such as women’s all-time leading scorer Ashlee Guay, Cinnamon Lister, Randi Friess, men’s all-time leading scorer Stephan Hicks, Devonte Elliott and Robert Cid. Each senior gave an in-depth account of their career on an off the court with their hopes for the future. Despite a limited roster due to an investigation of several players, the men’s team fought to salvage a disappointing season by almost knocking off the No. 1 seeded UC Davis Aggies in the 2015 Big West Conference tournament. The loss mimicked their 61-59 loss in the 2014 Big West Conference championship game to the Cal Poly Mustangs. The women’s senior class leaves as the most successful in school history with back-to-back NCAA TOURNAMENT appearances for the first time in program history. Despite their 73-60 first round loss in the 2015 NCAA TOURNAMENT to the Stanford Cardinal, the game was very close throughout, especially against a Stanford team that went to the Sweet 16.
