All ages can enjoy vibrant fantasy of ‘Spiderwick’

Anthony Graham February 19, 2008
Don't let Nickelodeon's boasting of production rights fool you - Director Mark Waters' "The Spiderwick Chronicles" is the sort of fantasy-adventure that will entertain all age ranges; like a modern day "Jumanji," following a fantasy come to life formula. Like "Jumanji," Spiderwick follows an almost identical theme-not a bad blueprint to borrow from, but the similarities are noted.

Seniors can’t escape CSUN for free

Anthony Graham February 13, 2008
There is just never enough money to go around. Ever. It is especially depressing when you are getting all the federal aid you can, and you still find yourself struggling. It's the stuff grown men cry about. It often helps to look on the bright side. As far as four-year universities are concerned, CSUN has got to be one of the least expensive institutions in the state.

‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force’ season five DVD chock-full of adult humor

Anthony Graham February 5, 2008
If you already know that ATHF is the acronym for the Adult Swim series "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," then chances are you've already seen an episode or two. Luckily, with the nonsensical humor involved in ATHF, two episodes are all you need to decide if you're a fan or not.

CSUN students have an opportunity to make an educated decision. Republicans: Feel the need to better understand McCain's plan to unite the GOP? Not sure if Romney is worth rallying for? Maybe you know nothing about Huckabee and find yourself simply drawn to his name? Democrats: Unsure of who to pull for in the tight race between Obama and Clinton? Maybe you just need a refresher on all the big issues, before you even think about voicing your opinion? CSUN's NAACP is holding a Candidate Fair today at 7 p.

Anthony Graham January 29, 2008
It's business as usual in the music industry's campaign against piracy. Perceived as the biggest abusers of digital theft, a two-pronged attack has been issued against college students around the country with a less-than-popular reception. The Recording Industry Association of America has sent a total of 407 pre-litigation settlement letters to 18 schools.

Leave race and gender aside when casting your presidential vote

Anthony Graham January 23, 2008
It's an exciting time for politics. For our generation in this up and coming presidential election, there is a real chance of history being made. The United States is a nation hungry for change: Democratic, Republican, or otherwise, it seems people are looking for the big issues (The Middle East, health care, tax cuts that bring about noticeable change, whatever you like) to be handled not only with conviction, but in, perhaps, ways all together different from how the current administration is handling them.

‘Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story’ has audiences singing its praise

Anthony Graham January 18, 2008
In many ways, an over-the-top comedy like "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" is tough to review. Is there anything in this world more subjective than your sense of humor? Don't think too hard on that one. What you really need to ask yourself is, did I ever see that movie "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" starring Will Ferrell? And, did I like it? If your answer to both questions is "yes," then you need to see "Walk Hard" because it's funnier.
