The Music Department at CSUN is ranked in the top 25 accredited university programs in the nation. There are more than 20 different instrumental and choral performing groups and the department currently has more than 500 students pursuing degrees in music.

Steven Woods and Matt Oldenhage are two 18-year-old freshmen on the CSUN swim team. Both have been swimming most of their life and both grew up in the Bay area, Matt in Castro Valley and Steven in Walnut Creek. Now they are roommates. Although they did not know each other before meeting at CSUN, they now spend two practices and three meals a day together.

Vladislav Berezovsky is a political science major in his junior year at CSUN. He currently lives in Van Nuys, but grew up in North Hollywood. Some things he likes to do are hang out with friends, listen to music and go on the Internet. He has one brother and really enjoys his classes.
