CSUN students perform at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai

CSUN theatre students got a chance to strut their stuff in May at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China. FIDM exhibits costumes from television shows and movies

Television and fashion united once more at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in downtown Los Angeles for the fifth annual “Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design” exhibit. In honor of this year’s Primetime Emmy-nominated costume designers, FIDM partnered with the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to host the exhibit in the institute’s museum and galleries space. Ingmar Bergman’s films showcased at the Cinematheque Thursday nights

The Cinematheque will be playing Ingmar Bergman’s films during its 14-week Thursday night movie screenings at the Armer Theater. The Cinematheque is a program that professor Tim Halloran oversees, showcasing a specific director’s archive of work for an entire semester. The Valley Performing Arts Center (VPAC) will provide students with state-of-the-art academic facilities. ERefund service directly deposits funds to CSUN students’ accounts

Students have been receiving their financial aid sooner by using the eRefund service, which deposits money directly into their checking accounts. Since its launch last January, eRefund has helped about 7,000 students receive their financial aid balance sooner, said University Controller Robert Barker. “In the course of a semester we distribute about 15,000 refund checks,” Barker said. “ERefund is ideal mainly because of the convenience factor and risk reduction.” Barker said the refunds are deposited in one to two business… Read more
