Performance Ensemble showcases short plays by students and alumni

The Performance Ensemble from CSUN’s Department of Communication Studies gathered at the X Repertory Theatre Company in Los Angeles on Saturday night in celebration of performing arts, music, fine art and cuisine. Students, alumni and guest artists put together short plays which showcased Saturday evening. A.S. adds more funds to transit subsidy program

A.S. has increased the allotment for the student transit subsidy for this school year. Because of the overwhelming number of students using the subsidy last year, A.S. added $20,000 more to the $50,000 in monthly transit subsidies. “Last year it was an amazing hit and we ran out of funding,” said Kevin Mojaradi, marketing director for A.S. “We had over 2,500 students participate.” The regular price for a monthly Metro pass went up from $62 to $75 in July.  Some… Read more

CSUN community celebrates Dia de los Muertos

Students gathered to celebrate the dead Friday night at CSUN’s Chicano House among skulls, skeletons,  candles and idols. Since the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlán (MEChA) chapter was established at CSUN in 1969, it has hosted an annual Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead festival to honor and celebrate the lives of those who have died. Third Annual Earthquake Drill to prepare CSUN for the ‘big one’

Drop, cover and hold on are what millions of people including the CSUN campus, businesses, government offices and residences will be doing at 10:21 a.m. today. Snapshot Day reveals information on resources used at Oviatt Library

Last week CSUN compiled data, pictures and video to compose a snapshot of a day in the life of the Oviatt Library.
