Unofficial results announced for AS elections

Matadors United candidates Sevag Alexanian and Kenya Lopez have won the elections for President and Vice President of CSUN Associated Students for the 2016-2017 school year, according to unofficial results.

Alexanian and Lopez defeated Jonathan Goldenberg and Aanchal Padyal of A Better Future, 2,468 to 1,983 votes.

The elections took place on April 13 and 14 where students had the choice to vote from a link that was sent to students through the school email or polls that were disseminated throughout the campus.

According to the unofficial results, a total of 5,565 out of 37,298 students voted.

The official results will be provided once they are approved by the AS senate.
