Leaks in the main campus heating hot water pipes have resulted in the shut-down of heating systems within multiple buildings, according to campus Physical Plant Management (PPM).
The main heating hot water pipes serves all major campus buildings. As such, the heating systems in University Hall, Sierra Hall, Sierra Tower, Sierra Center, Jerome Richfield Hall and Manzanita Hall have shut down.
PPM Senior Director Jason Wang distributed campus wide emails to CSUN community at 12:09 this morning informing faculty, staff and students of the leaks and advising everyone to dress warm today.
According to Wang’s email, PPM does not anticipate the heating systems to be up and working until later today. Anyone with questions or concerns are advised to contact PPM at (818) 677-2222.
More updates to come.
