Multiple drug and alcohol violations occurred in the University Park Apartments on Monday afternoon. Five people were referred for disciplinary action, according to the crime log archive.
Tuesday, Sept. 29:
Two bicycles were stolen from Jerome Richfield Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., according to the crime log archive.
The first bicycle was secured by only the front tire to a rack outside the building, according to the crime log archive. The second was also secured to the outside of the building. Both crimes are still under investigation.
Money was stolen from a backpack inside Oviatt Library on Tuesday.
According to the crime log archive, the victim was working at a computer when the money was stolen out of her backpack, which was next to her on the floor. The crime is still under investigation.
A suspect vandalized a campus sign near Zelzah Avenue and Plummer Street by using paint to graffiti the sign. The crime is still under investigation.
The soccer field was also vandalized this week. A suspect used red paint to graffiti the sidewalk and the fence tarp, according to the crime log archive.
Wednesday, Sept. 30:
A dispute between two residents of the University Park Apartments resulted in battery, theft and vandalism.
According to the crime log archive, the incident occurred at unknown hours, at a date between Sept. 6 and 26, but was reported on Wednesday. The victim was struck by the suspect during two different arguments.
The suspect later stole money and medication from the apartment and damaged the other resident’s cell phone. The incident is still under investigation.
Thursday, Oct. 1:
An cellphone left unattended on a bench in Redwood Hall was stolen on Thursday.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when an unknown suspect stole the phone, according to the crime log archive.
Friday, Oct. 2:
Two residents were referred for drug-law violations on Friday, according to the crime log archive.
The incident occurred in the University Park Apartments around 12 a.m. and the students were referred for disciplinary action.
Saturday, Oct. 3:
CSUN officers arrested a man for disorderly conduct when he was turned away from an on-campus event on Saturday night.
The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. near Chaparral Hall. The suspect tried to jump the fence and was apprehended by officers, according to the crime log archive. The suspect was taken to the CSUN station for booking.
Sunday, Oct. 4:
An unknown suspect smashed the glass of a vending machine and stole candy at unknown hours, according to the crime log archive.
The vandalism was seen in Jerome Richfield Hall at about 6:45 a.m. and the investigation is ongoing.
A cellphone was stolen near the USU after the victim let someone borrow the phone.
The incident occurred in the afternoon and the investigation is ongoing.
A man was given a seven-day stay-away order, after challenging someone to a fight in the Oviatt Library.
The incident occurred after the man got angry at the victim, he bumped the table he was working at, according to the crime log archive.
A CSUN officer arrested a suspect for driving without a license and with no proof of insurance near White Oak and Prairie.
According to the crime log archive, the suspect was released with a notice to appear.
