Posters designed to promote Israel visits

The Art of Vintage Israeli Travel Posters exhibit at the Skirball Cultural Center features posters mainly produced in the 1950s and 1960s by the Israeli government and airline companies to promote travel to the then newly founded country. The painted images and photographs are infused with bright colors.

Model UN wins awards at conference

The CSUN Model United Nations Delegation won an Outstanding Delegation Award and an Outstanding Position Papers Award representing Iceland at the National Model UN conference in New York City in late March. The Outstanding Delegation Award is equivalent to first place.

The 2007 Major League Baseball season has finally begun, and so has the countdown to Barry Bonds breaking the all-time home run record. As of Sunday, Bonds has 735 career home runs, needing only 21 more to break Hank Aaron's all-time record of 755. If Bonds stays healthy, there is little doubt he will break the record and become the all-time leader in home runs.

In response to the March 22 staff editorial regarding the Washington Mutual Gallery in Redwood Hall. A few weeks ago, the Sundial ran a couple pieces about the placement of Western-themed sculptures in Redwood Hall, also known as the Kinesiology Building. The students and faculty who were interviewed seemed puzzled that the sculptures would be placed where they were.

Students need to appreciate guest speakers

CSUN is lucky enough to have one of the most diverse campuses in the country. We have people from not only many different areas of Los Angeles, but of the country and the world. Because of the many different cultures that call CSUN their school, we are offered to learn about many different cultures, such as the role of women in Islam.
