Energy savings from So Cal Gas Co.

California is getting an Energy Upgrade, according to the Southern California Gas Company . The new energy program extends its incentives to Southern California Gas Company (SocalGas) and Southern California Edison (SCE) customers.

Some of the highlights of the incentive package:

Incentives of up to $4,000 are available to shared SoCalGas and SCE customers who complete certain energy-saving home improvements. With a variety of participation options, you can increase comfort, improve indoor air quality and possibly save money on your utility bills.

Now I know you’re asking, “why upgrade?”

Many air leaks in homes are fairly obvious, such as around windows, doors and electrical outlets. But others, like those in attics, around chimneys, and through recessed lighting fixtures, are often the more significant sources of energy loss in a home. Energy upgrades will help to optimize your home’s energy efficiency. You could also enjoy these benefits:

  • Realize long-term energy savings
  • Help reduce greenhouse gases
  • Increase indoor comfort
  • Improve indoor air quality

Seems like nowadays energy saving goes hand-in-hand with saving money. Aren’t we lucky?

Although, you may not see the rise and upward increase to your bank accounts that much, the package does assure those that there will be saving in the long run with their cool/warm homes. (without burning the money in their pocket!)

So, if you qualify (we hope you do) that’s great, because you’ll save money, but you’ll be saving energy too.
