Campus landmarks feature storied past

A storied past exists for three of CSUN’s most high-profile physical features and landmarks: the CSUN letters on Nordhoff Street, the audible chimes that can be heard across campus, and the sundial outside Bayramian Hall. Physics professor part of $1.3 million grant

CSUN physics professor Nicholas Kioussis, along with three UCLA professors, recently received a $1.3 million grant from the National Science Foundation to further explore nanoscale technology. “This is the first Nanoscale Interdisciplinary Research Teams (NIRT) grant received by the university,” Kioussis said. “They were based on quality of proposals, scientific research record and merit of the proposal.
