The Matadors poured in the goals early and often in a 3-1 victory over the visiting UC Riverside Highlanders at Matador Soccer Field Sunday. CSUN’s Cynthia Jacobo played as her usual stellar self for a majority of Friday’s match but a blast that dribbled through Jacobo’s legs in extra time ended any Matador (4-4-4, 1-1-0 Big West) hopes of a win with a 1-0 loss to Cal State Fullerton (5-7-0, 2-1-0). Visiting Michigan became another victim of CSUN’s women’s soccer teams’ stingy defense, losing 1-0 at Matador Field Thursday night.
