Japanese drumming group to perform at CSUN

CSUN’s Japanese traditional drumming group Jishin Taiko will hold its fifth annual Spring Concert this Sunday. “Taiko is not something you hear or see, it is something you feel,” said Gisselle Jaen, one of the performing members who is also in charge of the group’s fundraising. CSUN police department re-accredited

The CSUN police department was re-accredited on Monday by a professional association committee that decided the enforcement agency is up to par with professional standards. A team from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) visited campus and reviewed aspects of the police department on the week of March 20. CSUN A.S. to draft proposal for tax extensions

A.S. Academic Affairs Committee is drafting a proposal that will be submitted to legislative officials across California in response to the refusal by legislatures to include a tax-extension measure on the June ballot. Tribute concert for retiring CSUN music industry studies instructor planned

California State University, Northridge will honor retiring jazz band director, and Music Industry Studies instructor, Joel Leach, with a tribute concert. “Through the Years…” will be held at the Plaza Del Sol performance hall, in the University Students Union.
