An arraignment date has been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 26, for the man who was charged with two counts of murder, involving his ex-girlfriend who was a CSUN student.
Brian Anthony Gonzales, 24, also known as “Brian Hammons,”will appear in the Van Nuys Courthouse, according to a release.
Gonzales was arrested on Jan. 19 in Los Angeles and charged with the murder of CSUN student Emily Fox, 22, and Jerrad Scott, according to a release from the Los Angeles’ District Attorney’s Office.
Gonzales is held without bail and could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole, according to Ricardo Santiago, a public information officer.
According to police, Gonzales is held in North County Correctional Facility in Castaic, Calif.
The incident occurred on Jan. 17 at Fox’s Winnetka apartment complex, according to police.
