The other day I was wathching womens’ tennis game against Wyoming. One of the game featured doubles Brooke Doane/Anna Yang. At one point when Brooke netted a volley, she looked up in the sky desperate. Rule No1 in tennis is never show you’re upset to your opponent.
I know this form personal experince, sometimes I start cursing at myself when I’m playing bad so my friend starts saying “anger managment” in a sarcastic tone. It shows that his/her game is affecting your morale. It’s a sign of showing weakness.
Professional tennis players look at their racket when they make a mistake and smile. It indicates that the point didn’t affect them and proves they’re not vulnerable. Keep your head up high, Doane.
