During next weeks 40th Anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, people will be able to enter in competitions sponsored by A.S. Recycling that will take place at the Bayramian Hall Lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Cash for Cans competition, for example, will ask clubs and organizations to collect as many cans as possible. A minimum of 500 aluminum cans is required, which will all be donated to the campus recycling program. The club or org. who collects the most will be given a $200 first place prize, $100 second, and $50 third.
The best booth contest will give each club and organization a 10×10 booth to decorate with a theme environmental issue that they choose.
Some of the other events at the fair include: craft projects, street performers, music, environmental speakers, as well as interactive art walls, and eco-art competition with cash prizes.
