World University Rankings is a new iPhone application which allows users to compare and contrast the top 400 universities in the world and access the full ranking of top 200 in the world.
What make this app legitimate is how users can manipulate the data to suit their needs and priorities.
For example, if you want to attend a research university in Asia, you can put those factors in the app and see what the top Asian research universities are.
You can screen the rankings by regions, countries and continents. You can even look up rankings by cost of tuition and living fees.
The app allows users see those top universities on a custom map, create their own shortlist of schools to take on the go, participate in polls concerning different parts of ranking, and share the university info on Facebook, Twitter and so on.
The app is based on the most recent university ranking data, which was released by creator Times Higher Education last month.
It is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and requires iOS 3.0 and later.
You can find World University Rankings at the Apple App Store of $4.99.
