The state Assembly passed the second part of the California Dream Act today. Assembly Bill 131, cleared the lower house, with a 45-27 vote.
Gov. Brown signed the first past of the act in July, allowing undocumented immigrant students access to private financial aid. The second part, if passed by the governor, will allow these students to apply for public financial aid.
