A man was arrested on suspicion of harassing a female CSUN student early Tuesday in Jerome Richfield Hall, according to Scott VanScoy, captain of police operations.
The call came in at 10:34 a.m. On arrival, the student requested a private persons arrest because of concern for her life.
“Right now there is probable cause, giving us the ability to arrest and she requested a private persons arrest,” VanScoy said.”Typical elements of concern were there for now.”
VanScoy said there may be other off-campus criminal acts and they are looking into pulling reports to verify the information. Nothing is confirmed as of now.
“It’s under investigation and we’re going to look into the history between the two,” he said.
The man is currently in custody while the investigation continues.
