Captain Tosaya, said they were working on their drafting skills. Taking water from one source of water and pumping it through their truck and out the hoses is vital for them in areas without fire hydrants.
Fighting forest fires is an integral part of the summer months for engine companies and the lack of hydrants in some areas force firefighters to draft from local pools and other sources.
