The CSUN Young Democrats are holding an endorsement interview for Los Angeles Mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Balboa Room.
Democratic candidate Eric Garcetti is currently a Los Angeles City Councilember representing the13th District. Garcetti also served as city council president from 2006 to 2012.
Gil Garcetti, Eric’s father and former Los Angeles County District Attorney, will attend and speak on behalf of his son.
All students are welcome and encouraged to attend the event and participate in a discussion regarding Garcetti’s campaign.
Important topics including the financial state of the city, impact of new taxes, transportation and education will be addressed.
Garcetti’s focus as mayor would include job creation and growing the economy through higher education and training.
A voting session regarding endorsement of Garcetti will be held next Wednesday by CSUN Young Democrats in the Burbank Room.
