Around 1:45 p.m. today, the Oviatt was evacuated because a fire alarm went off. Firefighters checked the library and students were allowed back in by 2 p.m.
There was no fire, but smoke had been detected in a janitor’s closet. Library personnel are still looking into the cause of the smoke.
