For some CSUN football fans, “Monday Night Football” at The Pub has become a weekly tradition and has become popular among the CSUN community.
“The event draws 90 to 100 students depending on the teams playing,” said Elena Lomali, commercial services attendant for the event.
As students began to take their seats for the 49ers and Redskins game, Lomali passed out tickets to raffle prizes at halftime. Prizes included 49ers and Redskins t-shirts, lanyards, gloves, hats and half-off coupons for The Pub.
Lomali said The Pub continues to raise awareness about the weekly football nights.
“Flyers are posted around the University Student Union and students can also go to usu.csun.edu for more information,” she said. “There will be two more Monday Night Football events (this semester). We will then begin to host basketball nights for Lakers games. We do have other events besides Monday Night Football. We are trying to get hockey in there.”
