In preparation for what the LA Metro is calling “Jamzilla,” transportation authorities are doing their best to get the word out in hopes of stemming traffic jams. For 80 hours this coming President’s Day Weekend, February 14 to 18, the 405 will be partially closed for construction in the Sepulveda Pass.
The closure will include partial daytime lane reduction and full nighttime closure of the northbound lanes between Getty Center Drive and Ventura Boulevard. Southbound lanes will remain open during the day, but may close up to two lanes during night time hours. With all this in mind, if you were planning something special along the 405 during your valentines day weekend, you may want to reconsider.
