Engineering and computer science students interested in internships or job opportunities can attend the CSUN Tech Fest on Tuesday at the Northridge Center.
The job fair is held specifically for students majoring in engineer and computer science. Students can bring their resume and meet with representatives from top engineering companies who are interested in students of all class levels.
Students who previously attended the fair were offered internships, full-time and part-time job positions.
“Nine times out of ten for a lot of companies if they are providing internships, a lot these internships do turn into full-time jobs,” said LaTesha Hagler the student outreach coordinator for the college of engineering and computer science.
The college of engineering and computer science in conjunction with the career center provide students with workshops prior to the fair on how to improve their resumés and interviewing skills.
Tech Fest hosted over 40 companies in the past years and this year they will host 29 companies. Some of this year’s company will include, NAVAIR, Amgen, AeroVironment Inc., Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Transportation Info Systems, Triad Systems and Interactive Intelligence.
The CSUN Tech Fest is held twice a year during the fall and spring semester. This year’s Tech Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
