Daniel Massey is a 22-year-old CSUN undergraduate junior majoring in music with an emphasis in jazz. A native of Los Angeles, Massey’s music career started over 12 years ago when he first picked up the trumpet. Since then, Massey has slowly progressed from trumpet to guitar, from guitar to electric bass and from there, he eventually discovered his love for the upright bass. Massey’s love for jazz inspired him to embark on the genre’s studies.
“At this point i have no real end goal, I dont need to end up on a huge stage or have my name known everywhere.” said Massey, ” As long as i get to play music I’ll be happy.”
Massey invites CSUN to join him as he plays alongside his peers Nov. 23 at 7:30 pm in Cypress Hall room 159.
