CSUN gets 2 road wins

The women's volleyball team recorded two conference road victories, defeating Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside on Oct. 13-14. The Matadors were unphased by Friday the 13th as they defeated the Titans in five games, making a comeback in the final game to take the victory by scores of 30-21, 28-30, 30-28, 29-31 and finally 16-14.

Women take first, men fourth in outdoor championship

The Cal State Northridge women's track team won its third Big West Outdoor Title in the last five years while the men finished fourth, ending their run of two-straight outdoor titles May 12-13 at the Matador Track Complex. In the women's hammer, the Matadors won first, second and third.

Women’s golf hits a hole-in-one with Jenny Yoo

Born in Seoul, South Korea on March 25, 1986, sophomore Jenny Yoo has come a long way and has been through a lot. On April 18, Yoo and her roommate were driving home after getting a heating pad about 200 feet from their home in a quiet residential neighborhood.

On April 28-29, the Cal State Northirdge men and women's track teams participated in the Steve Scott Invitational located in the UC Irvine Stadium. It was the Matadors' final chance to tune up their performances before the Big West Championship, which will begin May 6.

Men and women Track and Field finish second in Fresno

The Cal State Northridge men's and women's track and field teams finished in second at the 2006 Cal-Nevada Championships at Fresno State's Warmerdam Field from March 21 to April 1. The women, who received 53 points from their throwers, totaled 122.5 points in the meet, only 59.

Track and Field win Big West

The Cal State Northridge men and women's track and field team competed at the Trojan Invitational on March 25th at Loker Stadium at USC. The Matadors also co-hosted the Hammer Throw March 17 and March 18 at the North Campus Stadiums. Saturday's events began with the women's javelin and ended with the men's 4x4 relay team.

Men’s golf finishes eighth in the O.C., rain shortens match

The Cal State Northridge men's golf team competed at the Anteater Invitational in Costa Mesa, but due to weather conditions, the tournament became a quick, rain-shortened 36-hole event at the Mesa Verde Country Club, Feb 27-28. The Matadors finished in 8th place, with a score of 612 (+52).

Golf finishes 11th in Arizona

Despite the many difficulties that the Cal State Northirdge women's golf team endured during its trip to compete in the Red Rock Invitational at Oak Creek Community College in Sedona, Ariz., there were many standout performances. Of the 73 female golfers, only five were competing from CSUN.
