Guard Rob Haynes is one of five senior Matadors. Two of them (Jenkins and Deon Tresvant) are out indefinitely. These were Haynes’ comments regarding the news on Jenkins being in a serious automobile accident:

“When I first heard, I was amazed. I didn’t think it was true. It seems like every week something goes on with this team.”

“It’s frustrating, but you can’t stay down over something you can’t really control.”

“Our focus is to move forward. We have guys on the team that can step up. Our  goal is still to win this league.”

“I saw him last night. He’s okay. He’s doing better than I thought. He’s talking.”
