Updates on Tresvant and Rutherford

CSUN Head Coach Bobby Braswell said Monday there was a “good chance” team leading scorer Deon Tresvant would play in a game before the regular season was over.

“His court date’s on Thursday,” he said regarding the guard’s arraignment for alleged theft. “Some things are going to be happening and we’ll take it from there.”

There’s four more games left in the regular season: Wednesday against UC Santa Barbara, Saturday against conference nemesis Long Beach State and two roadies next week at UC Davis and Pacific.

As far as reserve Dallas Rutherford goes, he won’t be returning this season.

“He asked for some personal time,” Braswell said.

So maybe CSUN fans will see Tresvant, who was in practice Monday, back sooner than expected.
