- The last time the Matadors made the tournament championship game was in 2005 against Pacific. The Tigers won 75-73.
- It’s the fourth time in six years that Pacific’s played in the championship game.
- The Matadors have never won a game played in Stockton (0-9). They’re also 0-4 against the Tigers in the tournament.
- CSUN guard Rodrigue Mels is averaging almost 20 points in his last three games.
- Pacific was swept by Long Beach State in the regular-season series, but the Tigers defeated the 49ers in last night’s semifinals, 65-60.
