CSUN student Aandrea Reblynn, a psychology major who landed a main role in the presently running theatre production “Six Characters in Search of an Author” died Nov. 24 in a motorcycle accident.

Reblynn, a 27-year-old junior at the time of death, was entering the U.S. Highway 101 onramp in Hollywood at Highland Avenue when her motorcycle was struck by a motor vehicle from behind, according to a source close to Reblynn.

“She really embraced life and brought such a creative spirit to living,” said John David Swain, professor and director of “Six Characters.” “I think that it’s a good reminder of how we need to be in our lives.”

Theatre Department Chair Peter Grego described Reblynn as “a really disciplined student and actor” and said, “it’s a loss” for the department as a whole.

In the wake of Reblynn’s death, the remaining performance dates for “Six Characters” will continue as scheduled with understudy Taylor Silverman in the role originally played by Reblynn.

“Everybody wants to pull together,” Swain said. “Everybody wants to complete the show in her memory and sympathy of her family.”

It is unknown whether a memorial service in Reblynn’s honor will take place locally as Reblynn originally hailed from Alaska where she lived with her mother, according to a source.

The cast of “Six Characters” plans to dedicate their last performance to Reblynn.

My boyfriend and I saw Six Characters opening night. I never met Aandrea, but the night before I found out that she passed i had written a very inspiring critique on her performance. I loved it! I am also an inspiring actress and I was just so inspired by her performance I can not explain to you enough how much I loved it, I really truly did and still do. There was one moment in the play where she would look around the audience, and when she looked at me I didn’t look away, and she played with it. she kept staring at me till her next like and it was just so great! I know it may not make much sense but it was really good. The other day when my boyfriend told me what happen it hurt me, I couldn’t get it out of my head and i still can’t. I just think of that moment. I don’t this it will ever leave my mind, and I don’t mind if it stays forever, because I found her truly inspirational and a great actress. My thoughts go out to her freidns and family, I am so truly sorry for this loss.

    Thank you,
    Alix Latini

Aandrea was a really passionate, kind, and beautiful person who I had the great honor of meeting through this production. Her fiery personality really shined on the stage, and still continues to through the character who she has immortalized through her presence. I’ll miss you big sis.
