CSUN experienced a campus-wide power outage early Friday morning at 6:30 a.m.
The outage was caused by off-campus LADWP power substation losing power. The substation, located at Lindley and Zelzah, went out due to heavy moisture and dirt building up on the power lines, according to CSUN’s Department of Police Services.
The problem is being addressed, meaning power at the University will be unstable, according to CSUNPD.
The campus will remain open and operate as usual.
