Danny Glover to speak as part of Black History Month

As part of CSUN’s Black History Month events, the Department of Pan African studies will be presenting “A Conversation with Danny Glover” Tuesday.

Actor Danny Glover, known for his role as Roger Murtaugh from the “Lethal Weapon” films, will be talking to students about political prisoners and mass incarceration.

The event is free to attend and will feature two film screenings of “Bring Home the Herman Bell” and “The House I Live in.” Students will also be able to participate in a Q&A; with Glover.

Glover is also founder of the Danny Glover Foundation, which aims to help the educational, health and financial situations of families from ethnically diverse backgrounds. More information about the foundation can be found at www.dannyglover.org.

The event will take place Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Grand Salon.
