In a non-conference game, CSUN struggled to muster any offense, and was shutout by UCLA on Wednesday at Easton Stadium.
The Matadors made one error and failed to score on four hits while giving up six runs on six hits to UCLA, losing 6-0.
Junior starting pitcher Daphne Pofek took the loss after going 5.1 innings. She is now 10-5 with a 3.58 ERA on the season.
The Bruins led by one run until the sixth inning when they to scored five runs on three doubles and a single.
Freshman pitcher Taylor Troost pitched also two-thirds of innings in relief after the Bruins shook up Pofek.
The loss drops the Matadors to 23-18 overall and are in fourth place in the Big West Conference (3-3).
CSUN will continue conference play in a double header against UC Santa Barbara on April 16 on Matador Diamond at 1 and 3 p.m.
