The Gauchos beat Cal State Fullerton, 73-64, on Thursday in the second round of the Big West Tournament and advanced to the semifinals. Their rival will be your Matadors, the conference’s regular-season champions. Game starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center and can followed here.

– UCSB has won four straight games and eight of its last nine.
– The one game the Gauchos lost in that nine-game span was against the Matadors, 62-57, on Feb. 25.
– CSUN swept the season series from UCSB, winning both at the Thunderdome and at the Matadome.
– The Matadors were thankful with UCSB on the last day of the season. The Gauchos’ game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer against Long Beach State on Saturday clinched the top seed in the tournament for CSUN. The 49ers are No. 2 and face No. 3 Pacific tonight.
– The game will be televised on ESPNU.
– The Gauchos were the top seed in the tournament last season but were knocked off by then-No. 5 UC Irvine.
– The Matadors haven’t won a tournament game in four years.
