Man shot to death near LA Valley College, suspects found

A male victim was found dead Saturday after a shooting in Valley Glen, near Los Angeles Valley College.

The victim, Richard Zetino, 31 of Tujunga, was found in his truck across from a student parking lot at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Burbank Boulevard.

Zetino suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting was reported at 7:30 p.m.

He was later taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The Homicide Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is in charge of the investigation. The two suspects were taken into custody Sunday, according to Sheriff’s Deputy James McKain of Los Angeles Valley College Sheriff’s Station.

Neither the victim nor the suspects were thought to be students.

The shooting was an isolated incident and had “…nothing to do with the school, other than it happening in that parking lot near the school,”said McKain.

The suspects were later apprehended. Their names are Raheen Taylor, 31, and Derrick Wilson, 25. They are currently being held without bail at the Inmate Reception Center and will be arraigned in Van Nuys Superior Court today.
