Even though St. Patrick’s Day is on a Tuesday, there are plenty of places in the area that will offer lots of alcohol, lots of dancing and lots of mischief. Here are some things you can do in case you’re thinking of going out and want the most out of the money you’ll drop that night. Just be sure to be responsible, and don’t forget to wear green.

Yard House is having some St. Patrick’s Day specials at their various locations. This includes corned beef, shepherd’s pie and lots of green alcohol. Since it’s so close to campus, it might be the perfect spot to hit up after or between classes for a little holiday cheer.

In case you do want to go out and get wild (more power to you) then you’ll want to see what’s going on in Hollywood. There’s a free block party happening on Cahuenga Boulevard with lots of music and festive foods, like an Irish Car Bomb cake. It’s from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. so there’s plenty of time to see what’s offered.

Get Inked
If you’re itching for a new tattoo and happen to be in the Hollywood area, Mark Mahoney’s Shamrock Social Club is having a flash sale between 1 p.m. and 12 a.m. Get a shamrock tattoo to mark the holiday. Prices are $25 for black and grey, and $40 for color.

In case a night out sounds rather exhausting, especially on a Tuesday, grabbing some food on the way home and watching movies might be your thing. I’d recommend Weiler’s, which is right down the street. Grab their corned beef and cabbage and curl up with your own favorite beer, though Guinness might be the most appropriate.

There are tons of pubs in Los Angeles County, and they might give you a bit more of an authentic feel than a club or other kind of bar. Taste the food, make some friends and have a good time.
