Tis the season to celebrate the holidays in fabulous style. Office parties, holiday dinners and New Year’s Eve parties have different attire guidelines to follow. Here is a breakdown of some suggested looks for each occasion.

For office looks, the first rule is to make sure you follow the proper attire policy for your job. This does not mean that you need to stick to your regular routine.

Liven up your look by switching a single article for something more festive. If you decide to wear dark dress pants, pair them with something more cheerful, like a ruffled silk top. Finish this with a pair of metallic flats or a patent leather pump.

Another option is to trade your regular blazer with a livelier jacket. Try something with a hint of gold in it to add a touch of sparkle to your look.

A slim pencil skirt or a navy sheath dress with gold accessories will help play up any office look. Vintage Chanel-inspired dramatic pearl necklaces will add glamour and elegance to your look.

Since you are in an office environment, keep makeup simple. Stain your lips with a dark berry color and add eyeliner on your top lids. Finish it off with mascara.

The trick to dressing appropriate for a holiday dinner is to find a balance between celebratory and casual. Think classic with a twist.

The classic little black dress (LBD) never fails. Dress it up with satin heels in black or dark red and a matching hard satin clutch for a classic look.

To cover a semi-revealing dress, such as a strapless dress, wear a tailored boyfriend jacket or a long cardigan with a slim belt. If you prefer to show off the dress, dark tights will add some sophistication and calm an overly cheerful dinner dress.

For a more modern take on the LBD, try a little black skirt. This new trend is so popular because it is so versatile. A silver top and blue or red suede round-toed platform heels will have you ready for your dinner festivities.

For a more colorful approach, warm neutral tones are also very inviting for a holiday dinner. Layer a mustard-colored long cardigan over a dark floral strapless dress, and top it off with brown boots and a slim belt.

Makeup for a holiday dinner can be worn similarly to an office party. Add subtle shimmer with a dark brown eye shadow and blush.

It is the night of Dec. 31, and now it’s time to get ready to party. New Year’s Eve parties are the perfect excuse you need to get glammed up.

This year, sequin is making a huge comeback, this time in color. Blue and gold long-sleeved mini dresses will be the biggest New Year’s Eve trend.

If you are daring enough to take on this trend, keep everything else to a minimum. Black leather platform pumps will leave the focus on the dress, but to take it up an extra level a strappy shoe will do.

Keep jewelry simple, too. Instead of layering metallic accessories, wear black stones. A simple black leather or hard satin clutch will complement everything well.

Architectural-inspired dresses are another big trend this season. The most popular is the one-shoulder dress. Beautify this Grecian- inspired design with big jewelry like a cuff bracelet or large chandelier earrings.

A flirty single ruffle hem dress is a less dramatic approach for any New Year’s Eve party. Accentuate the waist with a thin black patent leather belt.

Rock out any outfit by doing a smoky eye and top it all off with false lashes. Create loose waves, and you are ready to party the night away in amazing style.
