CSUN’s softball team (1-9) is on a seven-game losing streak after losing all four games this weekend at the Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament at UCLA. The Matadors’ hitting has not found a rhythm on the field, as they only recorded 13 hits and left 19 runners on base in the four games against Portland State (4-7) and No. 4 UCLA (10-1).
“We need to make adjustments and trust our swings,” said pitcher and captain Amanda Pitzenberger.

In their last game of the tournament the Matadors lost to the Vikings 12-6. Portland jumped on the scoreboard with four runs against Pagano in the first and at the end of five innings they led 12-1.
CSUN scored four runs in the fifth inning to cut the lead to 12-5, but only added one more run in the sixth with Olivas first career home run.
