Levels three through five of the G-3 parking structure located off of Zelzah Street will be closed to CSUN students today for a Valley Performance Arts Center (VPAC) event.
Pamela Bock, director of marketing and communications for VPAC, said there will be a second beta test tonight for the acoustical tuning of the hall.
“The event tonight is a performance of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and will be held from 8 p.m. -10 p.m.,” Bock said.
Christina Villalobos, special assistant to the chief of police and community relations officer, said the impact of the event parking should be minimal due to the event being held at night.
She added for those students coming to campus during the day can park in the adjacent parking lot next to the G-3 structure for additional spaces.
Bock said the event is open to VPAC donors, subscribers of the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall, VPAC, faculty and students.
Villalobos said the G-3 parking structure is a designated place for those attending VPAC events. She added if someone is new to the campus and asks for directions (in terms of parking), they will be directed to the G-3 parking structure.
Villalobos said for those who are familiar with the campus may choose to park in other areas to avoid traffic.
