A man mistaking a turn arrow for a green light struck two CSUN students with his car on the corner of Zelzah Avenue and Prairie Street Thursday.
Collision investigator Kirby, of the Valley Traffic Division, said the man was driving southbound on Zelzah.
Kirby said the students may have had on dark clothes, which made it difficult for the driver to see them.
The students, a male and female, are in stable condition and have been transferred to separate hospitals. The male student suffered a broken leg.
No arrests were made and the driver and his passenger suffered no injuries.
