Musician Monday – Ted Labash

Ted+Tabash%2C+talks+about+his+continuation+of+Jazz+playing.
Ted Labash started playing jazz at the age of 16 and has continued doing so for the last 40 years.

Ted Labash is a 56-year-old freshman attending CSUN to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in music, with an emphasis on guitar and digital composing.

Labash started playing jazz at the age of 16 and has continued doing so for the last 40 years.

“I’ve been playing jazz for an audience for almost 45 years now, but with technology advancing the way it is I don’t want to get left behind,” said Labash. “It’s time to crawl out of the cave and drop the club.”

Most people head to college right after graduating high school in order to get a head start on the right path. But for some, this is not always the case.

As time progresses and ideals change, many people have trouble keeping up with the constantly evolving industries of today.

Labash hopes of furthering his knowledge of digital composing and music techniques, so instead of getting left behind he can continue to play jazz for years to come.
